The first official trailer of the Watchmen, upcoming movie directed by Zack Snyder based on the comic book of the same name written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons , has been unveiled.

Here below the first official Watchmen trailer:

In 2009 everything we know will change

From the director of 300

The most celebrated graphic novel of all time

WATCHMEN

This movie is marvelously graphical: a real pleasure for my eyes!

If you have seen the Watchmen making of then you will understand how thorough the production team has in order to recreate the universe of Watchmen on screen.

I would appreciate if you could please take Alan Moore's name off your tags there. Do you see his name attached to the film anywhere Nope Alan Smithee maybe...

Are you claiming to be the writer of the original Watchemn comic book?

This would be a breaking news for the comic book universe!

More seriously, take care of your own site my dear.

Soooo fucking excited. I'm scared though, I heard the film will be at least 3 hours long...I hope that doesn't compromise my judgment. I'm putting all my faith in Zack Snyder, this is the most anticipated film of my life. I hope it can match up to the novel.

Am I seeing an image as the trailer fades out while Doc is building the crystal palace on Mars? Top left of the palace...anyone. Is it just CGI sunshine or something else?

Most of the San Diego love came from the source material, not Zach Snyder. For instance, if you're old enough to remember the actual Muhammad Ali, the Michael Mann film "Ali" was nothing more than Will Smith pretending to be Muhammad Ali. Watchmen won't be in theatres until next year, but the trailer has what appears to be an error ..
