Watchmen Movie Cast

Director Zack Snyder is introducing the different characters of the Watchmen universe in this new featurette:

Just to help you a bit, here the cast of Watchmen:

- Patrick Wilson as Daniel Dreiberg / Nite Owl: A retired vigilante superhero with technological experience.

- Jackie Earle Haley as Walter Kovacs / Rorschach: A superhero who continues his vigilante activities after they are outlawed. He was transformed over time from a "soft" costumed hero into a killer who sees the world in black and white.

- Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre: A retired vigilante superheroine. Akerman described her character as the psychology and the emotion of the film due to being the only woman among the men.

- Billy Crudup as Dr. Jon Osterman / Doctor Manhattan: A superhero with genuine powers who works for the U.S. government.

- Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias: A retired vigilante superhero who has since made his identity public.

- Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Blake / The Comedian: A vigilante superhero who is commissioned by the U.S. government.

- Stephen McHattie as Hollis Mason: The first vigilante to take up the mantle of Nite Owl.

- Carla Gugino as Sally Jupiter: A retired vigilante superheroine, mother of Laurie Juspeczyk and the first Silk Spectre.

- Matt Frewer as Edgar Jacobi / Moloch the Mystic: An elderly rehabilitated criminal, known when he was younger as an underworld kingpin and magician.

- Niall Matter as Mothman: He is not a main focus of the storyline, but appears in flashbacks, at one point reduced in his later years to fragile sanity, unnerving the second Silk Spectre. He is regarded fondly by most of the Minutemen, and the first Nite Owl sends the second to visit him, uncostumed, on his behalf.

- Dan Payne as Dollar Bill: A first-generation crimefighter who caught his cape in a revolving door during a bank robbery and was shot to death.

- Danny Woodburn as "The Big Figure": A dwarf crime boss whom Rorschach put in prison.

The movie Watchmen looks so amazing! It would be a shame if because of Fox' greediness (they're suing WB over the rights of the film!) the release happens to be pushed back. (I am wondering if Alan Moore the grumpy old man did not use some voodoo against the movie...)

If it wasn't for Wolverine, I would curse Fox for sure! But as of now I just keep hope that Fox and Warner Bros will sort out this mess! Damn: we need to see Watchmen!

Update: An agreement has been settled between Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox, so the movie Watchmen will be released in due time! Hurray!

I really don't understand why Alan Moore, the original writer of the comic book, does not give his support to Zack Snyder. The more Watchmen footage the more I get enthusiast about the movie, and so do plenty of fans around the world. Alan Moore should step down from his Ivory tower.

Anyway I suppose Alan More is not the first artist to produce a great work but to have a pig personality.

Once again, thumbs up for Zack Snyder whose adaptation of the Watchmen is just marvelous!

Watchmen Bootleg Preview Clip

A bootleg preview clip of the Watchmen shown during the latest San Diego Comic Con has leaked online via trailer addict. Not the best bootleg quality but you'll forgive the cameraman because the glimpse of the Watchmen movie we have is awesome, with an inspiring soundtrack:

I still have this music and those colors in my head! Watchmen does stand out! Director Zack Snyder is making a damned great job: Alan Moore, original writer of the comic book, should praise Zack Snyder and give him a hand instead of keeping a disdainful silence.

Watchmen Making-Of

A new making-of featurette has been released for Watchmen, upcoming movie based on the comic book of the same name. The film is directed by Zack Snyder, who once made the amazing blockbuster 300.

It's incredible all the energy Hollywood put in making a film: Watchmen is going to be awesome!

Some stunts can be highly dangerous:

Douglas Chapman, a stunt performer, is set on fire during a riot scene in a prison.

The Devil is in the detail, but Zack Snyder who is a real comic book fan won't get caught. Even illustrator David Gibbons who worked on the original comic book Watchmen acknowledges the great work done on Watchmen the movie:

More behind-the-scenes featurettes should be released along the year. So we'll be even more amazed by Watchmen.
